Using Google Analytics, we found that UGA users often search in EBSCO EDS for resources that are not be available in the search results, including Google Scholar, JSTOR, and Pubmed. We created placards in EDS that help direct users, based on their search terms, to these resources outside of EDS. We also used these placards to recommend relevant subject libguides. In order to identify relevant search terms to trigger subject placards, we analyzed EDS search query trends using the text analysis tool Voyant. We also coordinated with subject liaisons to design and recommend relevant libguide linkouts from these placards. In this presentation, we will discuss our implementation process, its impact on users, and our next steps for this project.
